The Original Chocolate Chunk was the first individually wrapped cookie on the market in New Zealand. First launched in 1983, the recipe for this cookie is so good it hasn't changed since. New Zealand's favourite cookie for close to 30 years – perfect for serious cookie munchers!

The Original Chocolate Chunk cookie was also the first product for Cookie Time Limited, which now has a comprehensive portfolio offering delicious tastes for every occasion. The business was founded in Christchurch and this is still our headquarters today. So when the series of devastating earthquakes hit Christchurch in 2011 it wasn’t just close to home – it was home. As a proud, family owned business we wanted to support our city and see it once more become a vibrant centre.

Ingredients: Wheat flour, Chocolate 20%* (full cream milk, sugar, cocoa mass, cocoa butter, milk solids, emulsifiers (soya lecithin, 476), malted barley syrup, flavour), Butter, Brown sugar, Sugar, Eggs, Raising Agent (baking soda), Salt. May contain traces of nuts.

* We always put the same quantity of chocolate in each batch of our Original Chocolate Chunk cookies. Because our chocolate chunks are so big, it's impossible to divide them evenly between all the cookies in each batch, so the percentage of chocolate will vary from cookie to cookie.
